Colorado Eagles Signee Kris Lazaruk

WINDSOR, Colo. - The Colorado Eagles announced Wednesday that they have signed goaltender Kris Lazaruk for the 2015-16 season. The 6-foot-1, 185-pound netminder recently concluded a stellar career at the University of Calgary, highlighted by a senior season in 2014-15 which saw him named as the CIS West Goaltender of the Year, as well as earning a spot on the CIS West All-Star First Team and CIS All-Canadian Second Team.
The Edmonton, Alberta native posted a cumulative goals-against average of 2.26 and a .915 save percentage in four seasons with the Dinos. During Lazaruk's freshman and senior seasons, he would capture the Adam Kryczka Memorial Trophy for the best team GAA in CIS West.
In addition to his time at the collegiate level, Lazaruk also spent four seasons at the major-junior level, playing with both the Kootenay Ice and Kelowna Rockets of the WHL and one season in the USHL with the Omaha Lancers. He would launch his professional career late last season by joining the Bakersfield Condors and appearing in five contests.
