Allen, Texas - The Allen Americans look to right the ship after Thursday's 2-1 loss to Fort Wayne at Allen Event Center. Game 4 puck drop is at 7:05 PM. A limited number of tickets are available at Allen Event Center Box Office.
The Americans offense dried up in Game 3, as they scored just one goal on Thursday night, when Gary Steffes broke the goose egg with his 6th of the season.
"We had our chances on Thursday night and didn't take advantage of them," said Americans Co-Captain Gary Steffes. "Nagle (Pat) was giving up a bunch of rebounds and we failed to cash in. We let an opportunity slip away on Thursday, that won't happen tonight."
The Americans had just one power play opportunity in Game 3, going 0 for 1. Allen still owns the top-ranked power play in the ECHL at 23.2 %. The Americans penalty kill continues to improve up to 7th overall in the postseason at 84.6 %.
The Americans have held the Komets top-line in check throughout the series. Komets leading scorer Shawn Szydlowski has just one point in the series, and that was an assist in Game 2. Former Americans Captain Jamie Schaafsma has been shut out the last two games and has just one assist in the series.
"We can't worry about what they're doing," said Americans Defenseman Aaron Gens. "We like the way we're playing in the series, and believe if we play our game, we'll be fine."
Tickets for tonight's Game 4 are on sale NOW at Allen Event Center Box Office or online at www.ticketmaster.com. Call 972-912-1000Â for more information.
