Allen Americans News Release

Allen, Texas - The Allen Americans, ECHL affiliate of the Minnesota Wild, announced today that the team has hired a new Head Athletic Trainer for the 2018-2019 season.

Phil Dolan joins the Americans this year after spending last season with the Aberdeen Wings in the North American Hockey League, his first full-time job. He also worked with the Brookings Blizzard of the NAHL while in school. The resident of Eau Claire, Wisconsin, is a graduate of South Dakota State in 2017.

His love for the game started at a young age while living in Rochester, Minnesota. His hockey career continued all four years of high school, before turning his attention to the medical side in college. Dolan is looking forward to his first professional job with the Americans and ready to get the season underway.

"How could you not be excited, it's pro hockey," said Dolan "I know the Americans have had a great tradition of winning. I've also heard great things about the players, coaches, the staff and everything that goes on here. I'm just looking forward to being a part of the winning tradition, and hopefully, we'll bring the cup back home"

The Americans open the regular season on the road on October 12th in Kansas City. The home opener is on Saturday, October 20th against the Wichita Thunder on Pink in the Rink Night. Tickets for all 36 home games are on sale NOW at www.allenamericans.com or call 972-912-1000.
