Ten Gladiators to Participate in AHL Camps

DULUTH, Ga. - The Atlanta Gladiators have announced Friday that 10 signed players have been invited to training camp for American Hockey League teams.

Forwards Louick Marcotte, Tyler Deresky, defenseman Zach Malatesta, goalies Sean Bonar and Alex Sakellaropoulos will skate with the Glads' AHL affiliate, the Providence Bruins at training camp. Forwards Darby Llewellyn, Branden Troock and defenseman Jack Stander will attend camp with the Milwaukee Admirals. Defender Ben Danford has earned a try-out with the Chicago Wolves, while forward Luke Sandler will appear in camp with the Rockford IceHogs.

Former Gladiators Tanner Pond and Dan Vladar, as well as Sakellaropoulos, were just sent to the AHL's P-Bruins by the NHL's Boston Bruins after participating in their training camp. Vladar made 31 saves and got the win in net while Pond collected a plus-1 rating and fighting major in the Bruins 5-2 preseason win over the defending Stanley Cup Champion Washington Capitals Tuesday night.

Atlanta's training camp starts on Wednesday, September 27th and will conclude with the team's inner-squad game at the Duluth Ice Forum on Sunday, October 7th. Full training camp roster and schedule will be released early next week.
