June 6, 2012 - Central Hockey League (CHL)
Allen Americans News Release

Allen Texas- The Allen Americans made several big announcements on Monday night during the historic press conference at the Allen Event Center, including the re-signing of Americans Captain Jason Deitsch.

Deitsch came to Allen last off-season in a trade with the Texas Brahmas and stepped right in making an immediate impact. Deitsch started the season with a 12 game point streak, the longest on the Americans last season.

The native of Cincinnati Ohio had 16 goals and 60 points in his first year with Allen. His best season as a professional came in 2005-2006 while with the Kalamazoo Wings of the UHL where he had 87 points. (38 goals 49 assists)

"I'm excited to be back in Allen for another year," said Captain Jason Deitsch. "I look forward to working together with the new coaches and new members of the organization to help bring Allen a championship."

Jason Deitsch was named the Allen Americans Captain in February of 2012 after the Americans went the first half of the season without one. Deitsch was the Brahmas Captain during his time in Tarrant County as well as the MVP in Texas Championship season in 2008-2009.

The Americans will begin their 4th season in the Central Hockey League this October.
