Americans Announce 2022-23 Home Schedule
June 23, 2022 - Western Hockey League (WHL)
Tri-City Americans News Release
KENNEWICK, WA - The Tri-City Americans, in conjunction with the Western Hockey League (WHL), announced the home portion of their 2022-23 regular season schedule today.
As announced earlier this week, the Americans Home Opener will take place Saturday, October 8 against the reigning WHL Champion Edmonton Oil Kings. It will be Tri-City's first Home Opener against a non-U.S. Division opponent since 2009 when the Americans opened their season against the Kelowna Rockets.
After no interconference games over the past two seasons, Edmonton and the rest of the Central Division will travel to Tri-City this season for the first time since 2018-19.
Plan to spend your weekends at the Toyota Center as the Americans will play 83 percent of their home schedule - 28 of 34 games - on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Six of Tri-City's home games will be played on Tuesday or Wednesday.
Tri-City's longest homestand of the season spans between November 23 and December 10 as the Americans are at the Toyota Center for seven straight games.
Celebrate Thanksgiving week with the Americans. Tri-City will host three games at the Toyota Center between November 23 and November 27, the day before Thanksgiving as well as the Saturday and Sunday after.
The Americans will play their last home game before the Christmas break on Saturday, December 10 against the Prince George Cougars. They will return on Tuesday, December 27 as they take on the Everett Silvertips at the Toyota Center.
Ring in the New Year at the Toyota Center as the Americans host the Spokane Chiefs on December 31, which falls on a Saturday this year, for the annual New Year's Eve game.
Tri-City's final home game of the regular season will take place on Friday, March 24 against the Spokane Chiefs.
All of Tri-City's Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday home games will start at 7:05 PM. Saturday games at the Toyota Center feature an earlier 6:05 PM puck drop. The three Sunday games at the Toyota Center will start at 4:05 PM.
Fans can look forward to all new seats and the addition of handrails at the Toyota Center this fall.
