Allen Americans News Release
Allen, Texas - The Allen Americans, ECHL affiliate of the Minnesota Wild, and Globe Life are proud to announce that forward Thomas Frazee has signed with the Americans for the 2018-2019 season.
Thomas Frazee joined Allen late last season, but was ineligible for the Americans playoff roster. Frazee was fantastic for Allen in his short time with the club, scoring seven goals and adding five assists for 12 points in 16 games.
"I'm very excited to be coming back to Allen for a full season," said Frazee. "The players, training staff and fans all treated me like I was there all year. Not being able to play in the playoffs last season was tough, but I know we will be there again and I can't wait to help out in any way I can for a long successful playoff run."
The resident of North Vancouver, BC will begin his 8th season of professional hockey in October. In time split between Atlanta, Norfolk and Allen last season, he had a combined 18 goals and 31 assists for 49 points in 62 games.
He has played with seven ECHL teams, including the Americans, with stops in Bakersfield, Fort Wayne, Evansville, Greenville, Atlanta and Norfolk. He played against the Americans, in the now defunct Central Hockey League, with the Quad City Mallards. He has a combined nine games in the American Hockey League with Charlotte and San Antonio.
"Thomas Frazee is big strong forward that can play in all situations," said Americans Head Coach Steve Martinson. "He did an outstanding job down the stretch last season."
Frazee spent all of his junior hockey time in the Western Hockey League with stops in Portland, Moose Jaw, Medicine Hat, Regina and Kamloops. His best numbers in juniors came with Moose Jaw in 2009-2010 when he had 55 points in 70 games.
Thomas Frazee will be on the ice with the Americans when they open training camp in early October. Stay tuned for more exciting announcements coming soon.
