Allen, Texas - The Allen Americans, ECHL affiliate of the Minnesota Wild, and Globe life are proud to announce the signing of defenseman Tate Olsen to a contract for the 2018-2019 season.
Tate Olsen joins the Americans after playing the last five seasons in the Western Hockey League. Four of those seasons were spent with the Prince George Cougars, where he had 97 points in 252 games; and last year, Olsen had 22 points in 54 games with Lethbridge.
The resident of Saskatoon, SASK, is a former 7th Round Draft Pick of the Vancouver Canucks in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft. The 6-foot-2, 190-pound blue-liner will turn 22 years old on March 21st.
The Americans open their tenth training camp in early October. The team will play two preseason games against the Kansas City Mavericks on October 5th and 6th. Tickets are on sale NOW for just ten dollars. Call 972-912-1000 for more information.
