Americans Add Play-Making Forward Travis Ouellette

Allen, Texas - The Allen Americans of the Central Hockey League announced today the signing free agent forward Travis Ouellette to a contract for the 2014-2015 season.

Travis Ouellette played 25 games in the CHL last season, splitting time between the Arizona Sundogs and St Charles Chill. He had a combined nine goals and 15 assists, for 24 points. He also skated in nine games with the Greenville Road Warriors of the ECHL last season, scoring two goals for three points.

"Allen is the place to be in the Central Hockey League", said Ouellette. "There are very few teams that separate themselves from the rest at this level, but Allen has continued to do that. I'm honored to put on the red sweater. As far as what I'll bring to the Americans lineup, I'm a play-maker who will scores some goals, but I'm also not afraid to get my nose dirty either."

The 5'9", 165 pound forward is a native of Windsor, Ontario, and will turn 26 next February. He played four years of college hockey at Ferris State University in the CCHA, from 2009-2013.

Travis has two brothers who have also laced up the skates; Britt, a forward who played 10 games with the St Charles Chill last season, and Chad who played four years of college hockey at Davenport University.

The Allen Americans begin their sixth season in the Central Hockey League this October. The two-time Presidents' Cup Champions have qualified for the post-season every year including three trips to the finals and two Governors Cups, the award handed out to the team finishing with best regular season record.
