Grand Prairie 3, Fargo-Moorhead 2

First baseman Andres Rodriguez's single in the bottom of the ninth inning scored CF Keanon Simon from second base and gave the Grand Prairie AirHogs a 3-2 walk-off win over the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks. Rodriguez finished the night 2-for-5 with two RBI. AirHogs reliever Adam Miller notched the win after tossing a scoreless ninth inning and giving up a hit and a walk. Miller is now 2-2 on the season. With the victory, Grand Prairie keeps their one game lead over Laredo in the South Division standings.

Laredo 6, Amarillo 1

Laredo scored five runs in the bottom of the eighth inning to break a 1-1 tie and defeat the Amarillo Sox, 6-1. The Lemurs have now won sixth straight and stay just one game behind Grand Prairie in the South Division. Shortstop Jimmy Mojica had a solid game offensively for Laredo going 2-for-4 with a home run, two runs scored and three RBI. Lemurs LF John Allen and 3B Uriak Marquez each had two hits as well with Allen scoring a run. Laredo reliever Edwin Walker collected his fourth win after throwing two scoreless innings and allowing a hit and a walk.

Kansas City 11, Sioux City 2

It was all Kansas City in this one as the T-Bones rolled out to a 7-1 lead after 2 ½ innings and would go on to win 11-2 over the Sioux City Explorers. Kansas City RF Ray Sadler was terrific at the plate going 4-for-5 with three doubles, two runs scored and a RBI. T-Bones CF Justin C. Bass went 3-for-5 with a run scored and three RBI and LF Brandon Jones had two hits and scored two runs. Starting pitcher Josh Rainwater had a solid outing for Kansas City as he went seven innings giving up two earned runs on seven hits. The victory by Rainwater was his fifth of the season.

Sioux Falls 8, Lincoln 6

Sioux Falls RF Cristian Guerrero's four-hit performance leads the Pheasants to an 8-6 win over the Lincoln Saltdogs. Guerrero had a double, scored two runs and drove in a pair. Sioux Falls CF Jared Bolden and C Al Quintana each chipped in with two hits apiece. Pheasants starting pitcher Mark Michael notched his seventh win of the season after going six innings and allowing two earned runs on seven hits with a strikeout. For Lincoln in the loss, DH Stephen Holdren hit a three-run home run.

Wichita at El Paso (Postponed - Rain)

The game between Wichita and El Paso was postponed due to rain. It will be made up as part of a doubleheader in Wichita on Monday, August 27 beginning at 5:05 PM.
