Fargo-Moorhead 6, Sioux Falls 3

The Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks scored six unanswered runs to erase a 3-0 deficit and defeat the Sioux Falls Pheasants 6-3. The Pheasants took an early 3-0 lead when 2B Hunter Jobes hit a two-run double and C Henry Contreras hit an RBI single in the bottom of the second. From that point on, it was all RedHawks, including their four-run seventh inning to claim the lead. Fargo-Moorhead DH Jesse Hoorelbeke hit a three-run homer to lead the RedHawks with three RBIs. Shortstop Zach Penprase had a double and an RBI, and SS Jake Krause and 1B Kyle Nichols each drove in a run as well. RedHawks starter Alex Caldera earned the win by allowing two earned runs on four hits in seven innings pitched. Donnie Smith worked a scoreless ninth to earn the save for Fargo-Moorhead.

St. Paul 4, Winnipeg 2

St. Paul scored three runs in the sixth inning to beat Winnipeg 4-2. The Saints struck first when DH Ole Sheldon hit an RBI single in the top of the third inning. Winnipeg rallied for two in the bottom of the fifth to take a 2-1 lead. In the top of the sixth, St. Paul 3B Ronnie Bourquin singled in a run, and CF Jonathan Van Every hit an RBI single. On Van Every's single, C Richard Mercado scored on an error to make it 4-2 St. Paul. Saints starter Alberto Rolon earned the win and allowed one earned run on five hits in 6.2 innings pitched. Kyle Foster worked a scoreless two innings to earn the save for St. Paul. Goldeyes CF Kody Kaiser had an RBI in a losing effort.

Sioux City 10, Gary SouthShore 6

Four Sioux City batters homered as the Explorers defeated the Gary SouthShore RailCats 10-6. Explorers 1B Kent Sakamoto, C Ray Serrano, DH Brett Flowers and 2B Brian Bistagne all homered once and all had two RBIs in the game. Bistagne went 3-for-4 at the plate in the game. Third baseman Wally Backman went 3-for-5 with a run scored and an RBI for Sioux City. Although he allowed six earned runs, Explorers starting pitcher Ty Marotz earned the win for his 8.1 innings pitched. For the RailCats, SS Kyle Haines went 2-for-4 with two RBIs, a double and a run scored in the loss.

Shreveport-Bossier 6, Amarillo 3

The Shreveport-Bossier Captains plated five runs in the first inning and went on to defeat Amarillo 6-3. Captains C Brian Peterson had two RBIs, two hits and a run scored, and CF Robert Perry had a triple and two runs scored. RF Bryan Sabatella had a triple and an RBI, and 1B Uriak Marquez and LF Joe Urtuzuastegui each had two hits and an RBI. Captains reliever Mark Haynes was credited with the win and pitched 2.1 shutout innings. Hector Carrasco conceded a run in the ninth inning but still earned the save for the Captains. Amarillo LF Adam De La Garza had a double, a triple and two RBIs in a losing effort.

Lincoln 13, Grand Prairie 1

Lincoln rolled past Grand Prairie for a 13-1 victory. Center fielder Gavin Dickey had a big game at the plate for the Saltdogs. Dickey went 4-for-6 with two doubles, a home run and four RBIs. Lincoln 1B Phil Hawke doubled twice and batted in two runs, and LF Curt Smith had two doubles and one RBI. Catcher Pat Trettel homered for Lincoln in the game. Armed with good run support, Lincoln starter Tim Brown turned in seven solid innings pitched to earn the win. Brown scattered seven hits and allowed just one run, which was batted in by Grand Prairie 2B David Espinosa.

El Paso 2, Fort Worth 0

Three El Paso pitchers tossed a combined five-hit shutout to lead the Diablos to a 2-0 win over the Fort Worth Cats. Diablos starting pitcher Reymond Cruz pitched 7.1 shutout innings, allowing four hits and striking out four batters to earn the win. El Paso reliever Adam Rowe retired the one batter he faced, and Scott Hodsdon worked a scoreless 1.1 innings to earn the save. Diablos LF Chad Gabriel and RF Brian Joynt each had a double and an RBI in the game. Fort Worth outhit El Paso five to four but still found themselves on the losing side in this one. Cats CF Ryan Patterson had two hits in the loss.

Kansas City 6, Wichita 1

Kansas City got a strong outing from starting pitcher Trent Lare as the T-Bones beat the Wichita Wingnuts 6-1. Lare allowed just one run on three hits in eight innings pitched to earn the win. Lare struck out five batters and walked three in the game. T-Bones 3B Rico Washington went 2-for-5 with an RBI, and LF Aharon Eggleston chipped in with two RBIs. Kansas City RF Ray Sadler doubled and batted in a run, and 1B Kala Kaaihue drove in a run as well. Wingnuts RF Peter Barrows hit a solo home run in the loss.
