Winnipeg 3, Sioux City 2 (12 innings)

Nick Liles came through for the Goldeyes in the 12th, giving Winnipeg a win over Sioux City, 3-2. With two outs in a tie game, Liles singled to bring home Amos Ramon with the go-ahead run. The run-scoring knock erased a 2-2 tie that had stood since the fourth.

The Explorers took the game's initial lead when Bryan Pounds doubled home a pair of runs in the third. The following inning, the Goldeyes tied the game with back-to-back RBI doubles from Josh Mazzola and Casey Haerther.

After the Goldeyes tied the game, both starting pitchers held serve. Winnipeg's Matt Rusch only allowed two runs and five total hits over seven innings of work. For Sioux City, Andy Noga pitched six innings and gave up two runs on four hits. Neither starter factored in the decision, however. Patrick Keating pitched 3.1 perfect innings to earn the win. He struck out five, while holding the X's scoreless and hitless.

Gary SouthShore 4, Kansas City 0

RailCats starter Morgan Coombs did not need any help to shutout the T-Bones. Coombs pitched all nine innings, allowing only three hits, as Gary SouthShore beat Kansas City, 4-0.

Gary SouthShore gave Coombs some offensive assistance with runs in the second, third and sixth. Daniel Pulfer opened the scoring with an RBI single in the second. The next inning, Craig Maddox hit a two-run home run to provide a cushion. Then, in the sixth, Zac Mitchell came home on a wild pitch to cap the RailCats' scoring.

Wichita 5, Laredo 3

Wichita and Laredo traded two-run home runs in the eighth inning, but it was the Wingnuts who came out on top, 5-3. Laredo tied the game in the top half of the inning when Brian Peterson went deep to erase a 3-1 deficit. However, Colt Loehrs returned the favor, belting a two-run home run with two outs in the bottom of the frame. Loehrs' homer put Wichita back on top for good.

The Wingnuts had initially taken the lead on three RBI by Brent Clevlen. Wichita's centerfielder homered to score a pair in the second and hit a sacrifice fly the next inning. If it were not for Peterson's home run, Clevlen's night at the plate would have been enough for the Wingnuts. But, in the end, they needed Loehrs to come through in the eighth. After that go-ahead homer, Josh Dew came in from the bullpen and wrapped up the win in the ninth.

Amarillo 10, El Paso 4

A seven-run fifth by Amarillo downed the Diablos, 10-4. Trey Ford dealt the big blow in the inning with a two-run triple and KC Serna delivered a run-scoring double. Ford and Serna were two of three Sox hitters, along with Joe Weik, to turn in two-RBI performances. Weik led the team in hits, finishing 3-for-4 on the night.

On the mound, Joe Newby held El Paso to one run over six innings. Newby only gave up four hits and struck out eight to pick up the win.

Grand Prairie vs. Sioux Falls (Postponed - Power Outage)

The game between the Grand Prairie AirHogs and the Sioux Falls Canaries was postponed due to a power outage. It will be made up as part of a doubleheader on Thursday, June 27, beginning at 5:05 p.m.
