Sioux Falls 10, Lincoln 7 (Game 1 - 7 Innings)

The Sioux Falls Pheasants erased a 3-1 deficit with a seven-run fourth inning and cruised to a 10-7 win over the Lincoln Saltdogs in game one of a doubleheader. LF Beau Torbert and DH Brandon Sing each had three hits to lead the Pheasants offense. Sioux Falls starter Travis Kane notched his fifth win of the year despite allowing seven earned runs over 6 1/3 innings of work.

Lincoln 6, Sioux Falls 5 (Game 2 - 7 Innings)

The Lincoln Saltdogs held off a late furious rally by the Sioux Falls Pheasants to win 6-5 and gain a split in the doubleheader. Lincoln had a 6-0 lead going into the bottom of the seventh inning only to see the Pheasants score five runs in the frame to close the gap to one run. 2B Brandon Jones led the Saltdogs offense going 2-for-3 with a home run and two RBI.

Fort Worth 8, Wichita 7

A solid performance by C Kelley Gulledge leads the Fort Worth Cats to an 8-7 win over the Wichita Wingnuts. Gulledge went a perfect 4-for-4 at the plate with two home runs, two runs scored and five RBIs. DH Kevin Thompson and CF Brian Fryer each collected two hits as well for the Cats. Fort Worth starting pitcher Dwayne Pollok won his 10th game giving up four earned runs over eight innings of work.

Pensacola 8, Grand Prairie 7

The 2-3-4 hitters of Pensacola lead the way in their 8-7 victory over the Grand Prairie AirHogs. C Lou Palmisano, 1B Javier Brito and DH John Alonso combined to go 7-for-13 at the plate with a home run (Brito), three RBIs and four runs scored. Pensacola starting pitcher David Nathanson won his eighth game of the year and Pelicans reliever Scott Vanderweg collected the save.

Sioux City 16, St. Paul 10

The Sioux City Explorers scored in every inning but the sixth and eighth in winning 16-10 over the St. Paul Saints. RF TJ Bohn led the Sioux City offense going 4-for-5 at the plate with three doubles, three RBIs and four runs scored. Explorers CF Dustin Jones and C Ray Serrano each chipped in with three hits. Sioux City reliever David Trahan evened his record at 4-4 with the win. St. Paul CF Josh Burrus hit two home runs in the losing cause.

Shreveport-Bossier 8, El Paso 6

Shreveport-Bossier scored three runs in the top of the eighth inning to rally from a 6-5 deficit and defeat the El Paso Diablos 8-6. Captains CF Brian Petersen went 3-for-4 with a run scored and two RBIs. Shreveport-Bossier reliever Dan Griffin pitched a scoreless seventh inning to notch the win while Hector Carrasco tossed a 1-2-3 ninth inning to earn his 19th save. RF Rico Santana and SS Arnoldo Ponce had three hits each in the loss for El Paso.
