Shreveport-Bossier 4, Fort Worth 3

Shreveport-Bossier rallied for four late runs and came back to beat Fort Worth 4-3. Down 2-0 and in the midst of being shut down by Cats starter Joel Kirsten, the Captains got an RBI single from LF Uriak Marquez and scored again on an RBI groundout to tie the score. Fort Worth then regained the lead on a solo home run by 1B Gerardo Avila off of Shreveport-Bossier starter Richard Salazar, who picked up the win despite allowing 12 hits and three runs in the game. The Captains then brought the score even again on an RBI single by 2B Jorge Alvarez, and scored the game-winning run on an error by Fort Worth SS Nick McCoola. Closer Hector Carrasco pitched a perfect ninth to earn his ninth save.

Sioux Falls 11, Wichita 5

The Pheasants scored four runs in the first and never let up, as they pounded 15 hits and blasted Wichita 11-5. Sioux Falls didn't register a home run, but rallied for four runs in each the first and fourth innings to build an 8-0 lead and never let Wichita back in the game. Sioux Falls leadoff hitter 2B Joe Anthonsen tallied four hits and scored three runs, and five Pheasant hitters knocked in multiple runs. Starter Chris Salberg improved to 9-0 on the season, allowing three earned runs in six innings. Wichita 3B Mike Bell was the only Wingnut to manage more than one hit, finishing 2-for-3 with two runs and three RBI.

Lincoln 8, Sioux City 3

Lincoln starter Jim Paduch tossed seven innings of one-run ball, and the offense muscled enough scoring to take care of Sioux City 8-3. Paduch improved to 5-4 by scattering eight hits and striking out six and two relievers closed out the game. The Saltdogs' offensive production started in the top of the second when DH Juan Camacho began the inning with a solo home run and 3B Brandon Jones launched a two-run blast two batters later. Lincoln went on to establish an 8-1 lead before giving two back late.

St. Paul 13, El Paso 4 (Top 8 - In Progress)
