Pensacola 3, El Paso 2 (11 innings)

With the score tied, 2-2, in the bottom of the 11th inning, Pensacola 1B Javier Brito picked the right time for his only hit of the game. With two outs and the count full, Brito belted a solo home run to give the Pelicans a 3-2 walk-off win over El Paso. Pensacola starting pitcher Jared Gothreaux took the tough luck no decision. He allowed two runs on 11 hits and struck out five without issuing a walk in 10 innings. Instead it was Pelicans reliever Austin Chambliss that earned the win, his second, after tossing a scoreless 11th inning.

Fort Worth 6, Shreveport-Bossier 5

Trailing, 5-4, entering the top of the ninth inning, Fort Worth managed a pair of unearned runs to take a 6-5 lead and held on in the bottom of the frame to earn the narrow win. Cats C Kelley Gulledge led the way at the plate, going 4-for-5 with a home run, and three RBI. Fort Worth reliever Gary Lee allowed two hits and fanned one over two scoreless innings to earn his third win while closer Dustin Cameron retired the side in order in the ninth for his 11th save.

Sioux Falls 8, Lincoln 6

Sioux Falls RF Gus Milner was a perfect 4-for-4 with a run scored and a RBI to lead the Pheasants to an 8-6 win over Lincoln on the road. Sioux Falls broke a 2-2 tie with three runs in the top of the fourth inning and never trailed from there en route to the victory. Every hitter in the Pheasants lineup recorded at least one hit and five turned in multi-hit games. Sioux Falls starter Ryan Shaver was the beneficiary of the offensive support. He allowed four runs on six hits while striking out seven in six innings of work to earn the win and improve to 6-0 on the year.

Wichita 3, Grand Prairie 1

Wichita CF Ryan Patterson and DH Mario Delgado each hit solo home runs and that proved to be the difference in the Wingnuts' 3-1 win over Grand Prairie. Wichita starting pitcher Sean Teague scattered five hits while striking out four in 5.1 scoreless innings to pick up the win and run his mark to 2-2 on the season. Closer Justin Dowdy allowed one base runner in the ninth inning, but held on for his 14th save. AirHogs 3B Greg Porter was 3-for-3 with a solo home run in the losing effort.
