Sioux City 4, Wichita 2
The Sioux City Explorers rolled out a 3-0 lead after a half an inning and that would be more than enough to take care of the Wichita Wingnuts, 4-2. Explorers CF Dustin Jones led the way at the plate going 2-for-4 with a home run and three RBI. Sioux City 1B Kent Sakamoto and SS Darrick Hale each chipped in with two hits apiece as well. Explorers starting pitcher Mikael Ryder tossed a solid game en route to evening his record up at 4-4. Ryder pitched eight innings allowing only one earned run on six hits with four strikeouts. Wichita DH Mario Delgado went 3-for-4 with a run scored and a RBI in the loss.
