Grand Prairie scored twice in the fourth inning to take a 2-0 lead and made it hold up as they went on to beat Lincoln by a run on the road. AirHogs starting pitcher Dimitri Camareno allowed one run on four hits while striking out four in 6 1/3 innings of work to earn the win and improve to 4-2 on the season. Grand Prairie 1B Javier Brito drove in both of the team's runs with a double and finished the contest 1-for-3. Lincoln C Shawn McGill hit a solo homer and was 1-for-4 while SS Albenis Machado led all hitters going 4-for-5. AirHogs closer James Morrison fanned one in a scoreless ninth inning to earn his 16th save.

Sioux Falls 8, St. Paul 2

Sioux Falls DH Cory Harris was 3-for-4 with a home run and four RBI while CF Beau Torbert was 2-for-4 with a run scored and three RBI to propel the Canaries past St. Paul. Sioux Falls starting pitcher Pat Mahomes was the beneficiary of the run support. He allowed two runs on seven hits while striking out five in seven innings of work and was credited with his third win. St. Paul C Jeff Eure had a good game at the plate in the losing effort. He was 3-for-4 with a solo home run.

Sioux City 5, Wichita 4

Trailing 4-2 entering the eighth inning, the Sioux City Explorers rallied for a pair of runs to tie the game at 4-4, then won it in the ninth on a RBI from 3B Derek Schermerhorn. With one out and runners on first and third, Schermerhorn grounded into a fielder's choice that allowed CF Dustin Jones to score the go-ahead run from third. Jones led the way offensively for Sioux City, going 2-for-3 with a home run, two runs scored and a pair of RBI. Explorers reliever David Trahan earned his sixth win thanks to two scoreless innings in which he fanned four Wichita batters.

Shreveport-Bossier 3, Pensacola 2

Shreveport-Bossier 3B Andres Rodriguez was 4-for-4 with a double and two RBI to lead the Captains to a 3-2 win at home. Shreveport-Bossier scored all three of its runs in the third inning and starting pitcher Jimmy Heard made the lead hold up en route to the win. Heard allowed two runs on five hits while striking out five in seven innings of work to improve to 7-1 on the season. Aside from the third inning, Pensacola starter Randy Beam also pitched well, but he fell to 9-7 in the end. Captains reliever Jakob Cunningham held the Pelicans at bay over the game's final 1 2/3 innings to earn his second save of the year.

Fort Worth 7, El Paso 2

Fort Worth starting pitcher Ryan Riddle allowed two runs on six hits while striking out seven in eight innings of work to notch the win and improve to 6-6 on the year. At the plate, Fort Worth LF Kevin Thompson led the way, going 3-for-4 with a double, a run scored and a RBI. After Fort Worth went ahead 1-0 in the second inning, El Paso scored twice in the bottom of the same frame to take a 2-1 lead. The Cats would add a run in the third to tie the score at 2-2 before taking the lead for good with two more runs in the fourth.
