Lincoln edged Wichita as Saltdogs starter Jim Paduch out dueled Wichita's Will Savage to earn his sixth win of the season. Paduch allowed six hits and did not walk a batter while striking out 11 in eight innings. Savage also pitched well, allowing one run on five hits while fanning three in eight innings, but took the tough luck loss. When Paduch was done dicing up the Wingnuts lineup, Lincoln closer Chris Thompson took over, tossed a perfect ninth and recorded his 27th save.

Sioux Falls starting pitcher Pat Mahomes tossed a complete shutout, allowing six hits while striking out five to lead the Canaries past the Saints, 6-0. The win was Mahomes' second of the year. Sioux Falls RF JD Reininger led the way offensively, going 3-for-4 with a home run and a pair of run scored. Canaries 3B Trevor Lawhorn added a two-run homer and finished the game 1-for-4.
