With one swing of the bat, Sioux City 3B Juan Camacho gave the Sioux City Explorers all the offense they would need. Camacho belted a three-run homer in the sixth inning to break a 1-1 tie and the Explorers never looked back, en route to the easy win. Camacho finished the game 2-for-4. Sioux City starting pitcher Alexander Francisco had a great outing on the mound. He allowed one run on five hits and fanned three in seven innings to run his record to 7-1 on the season. Explorers LF Jason Tuttle also pitched in with a good game at the plate, going 3-for-5 with a run scored and a pair of RBI.

Lincoln 5, Wichita 0

Lincoln starting pitcher Jarrett Gardner tossed a six-hit shutout to lift Lincoln to a 5-0 win on the road. Gardner was dominant, striking out six without issuing a base on balls. He got plenty of offensive support, as the Saltdogs notched 12 hits, led by LF Matt Maloney. Maloney was 3-for-5 with a double, a run scored and two RBI. His double was the only extra base hit of the game for either side. The victory for Lincoln keeps them atop the North Division in the second half.

El Paso 5, Shreveport 4

The El Paso Diablos narrowly held on in the ninth inning to earn a 5-4 win over Shreveport on the road. Diablos starting pitcher Jusef Frias allowed one run on five hits while striking out seven in six innings of work to pick up the win and run his record to 4-4 on the year. El Paso leadoff hitter Stantrel Smith tripled twice in the game, accounting for each of his hits. Smith also scored twice and drove in a run. Trailing 5-1 entering the bottom of the ninth, the Sports rallied for three runs, but fell a run short of tying the game.

Grand Prairie 7, Fort Worth 0

AirHogs starting pitcher Kieran Mattison allowed just five hits while fanning six through seven shutout innings, stifling the Cats' bats en route to the win. The victory ran Mattison's record to 9-1 on the season and gives Grand Prairie a 1/2 game lead in the South Division. AirHogs 1B Derek Nicholson led the way at the plate, going 2-for-4 with a solo home run, his fifth of the season. Grand Prairie RF Michael Conroy also had a nice game. He was 1-for-2 with a double and a pair of RBI.

Pensacola 8, St. Paul 4

For the second night in a row, the Pensacola Pelicans upended the St. Paul Saints at home. The Pelicans got things started early, plating three runs in the first inning, and remained in control throughout. Pelicans starting pitcher Clegg Snipes ran his record to 6-4, pitching 7 2/3 innings while allowing three runs, two earned, and scattering 10 hits. Matt Pali had a big night at the plate, going 4-for-5 with two runs scored and three RBI. Pelicans DH Rafael Alvarez also pitched in with a two-run homer, his 12th of the season.
