Coastal Bend won its first game of the second half by rallying with four runs in the eighth inning. Five different Aviators hitters recorded multi-hit games, led by the duo of 1B Grant Richardson and RF Juan Figueroa who combined to go 6-for-8 with three runs scored and five RBI. Coastal Bend reliever Jon Hunton was credited with the win, his first of the season and closer Tom Atlee notched his ninth save.

Pensacola at Fort Worth (Postponed - Rain)
@ Fort Worth, TX.
The game was postponed due to rain. The game will be made up as part of a doubleheader on Thursday, July 5th beginning at 5:05 PM. Both games will consist of seven innings. Wednesday, July 4th's will be a single game and is scheduled to be played at 7:05 PM.

St. Joe 8, St. Paul 7

The St. Joe Blacksnakes scored two runs in the bottom of the ninth to steal a win from St. Paul. The Blacksnakes overcame 11 Saints hits and were led at the plate by 1B Dustin Yount who was 2-for-4 with a run scored and three RBI. CF David Fowler also had a nice game, going 1-for-3 with a run scored and two RBI. LF Brian Sprout led the way for the Saints in the losing effort. He was 2-for-3 with a home run, three runs scored and three RBI.

Lincoln 10, Sioux City 2

The Lincoln Saltdogs, winners of the first half in the North Division, got off to a good start in the second half, beating Sioux City and improving to 1-0. Starting pitcher Kyle Ruwe allowed two runs on five hits and struck out three through six innings to improve to 5-2 on the season. The Saltdogs tallied 19 hits, led by LF Pichi Balet, who was 4-for-6 with two doubles, three runs scored and two RBI. Five other Lincoln hitters recorded multi-hit games.

Shreveport 9, El Paso 6

The Shreveport Sports got a good outing from starting pitcher Bert Snow to win their first game of the second half. Snow tossed eight innings, allowing five runs on 12 hits, but gave the Sports a chance to win the game, which they did. Snow improved to 3-2 with the victory and reliever Aaron Cunningham came on for a perfect ninth to record his first save. Shreveport RF Chad Gambill led the way at the plate, going 4-for-5 with a home run, two runs scored and four RBI.
