Lincoln jumped out to a 6-0 lead after three innings and held on to beat Sioux City. DH Seth Pietsch went 2-for-3 with a double and two runs scored to lead the Saltdogs. 2B Josh Patton also went 2-for-3 and scored a run. Starting pitcher Jarrett Gardner gave up two runs over six innings with three strikeouts to pick up the win for Lincoln. LF Jorge Moreno went 2-for-3 with a double, two runs and a stolen base for the Explorers. Starting pitcher Ty Marotz pitched all seven innings for Sioux City, striking out five but giving up six runs.

RF Bryan Warner went 4-for-4 and led Lincoln to a sweep in a doubleheader against Sioux City. Matt Varner pitched a perfect seventh inning for Lincoln to pick up his fifth save. LF Jorge Moreno scored all three of Sioux City's runs in a jack-of-all-trades performance. Moreno doubled, walked twice and stole two bases. With the sweep, Lincoln continues its torrid play, moving to 14-4 on the season and maintaining its hold on first place.

Pensacola at Ft. Worth [DH] (Postponed - Rain)

The scheduled doubleheader between Pensacola and Fort Worth was postponed due to rain. Three doubleheaders are now scheduled, with the first doubleheader to be Monday, June 4 in Pensacola, FL at 5:05 p.m. CT. The second and third doubleheaders will be in Fort Worth on Friday, June 15 and Saturday, June 16, both beginning at 5:05 p.m. CT.

Coastal Bend's pitchers threw a strong outing and held Shreveport to only two hits in a 2-0 win. Starting pitcher Pedro Flores went six innings and was supported by relief pitchers Matt Wilkinson and Tom Atlee in the shutout. The Aviators plated their two runs in the top of the ninth inning to surge ahead in what was a deadlocked game through eight innings. Ryan Rachal ripped three hits for Coastal Bend and scored their second run in the ninth. Derek Cunningham pitched 7.1 shutout innings for Shreveport and got a no decision.

Sioux Falls 3, St. Joe 2

CF James Shanks plated the winning run in the bottom of the tenth inning to give Sioux Falls a 3-2 win. Shanks singled with two outs and advanced on a single by David Keesee and a hit batsman before scoring on a passed ball. Starting pitcher Alec Sheppard turned in a strong performance for St. Joe, going nine innings, allowing two runs and striking out seven. Sean Donlin pitched four strong innings of relief for Sioux Falls, allowing only three hits. The win moves Sioux Falls to 14-5 on the year.
