Shreveport survived a potent Pensacola offense, picking up the go-ahead run in the seventh inning, to improve to 28-17 in the second half, winning their third game in a row. C Tommy Bryant was 1-for-4, including his fourth home run of the year, with a run scored and three RBIs to lead the Sports. LF/1B Ed Montague, C Jose Yepez and RF Drake Wade each homered in the game, collectively accounting for all of the Pelicans' runs.

Lincoln 7, Sioux City 3

The Lincoln Saltdogs notched 10 hits as a team and rolled to a 7-3 victory over Sioux City on the road, improving Lincoln to 33-14 in the second half. Saltdogs' starting pitcher Ben Fox was strong through seven innings, allowing one run on five hits while striking out six to improve his record to 9-4 this year. Four Lincoln players recorded two-hit games in support of Fox, led by CF Evan Tartaglia who finished the night 2-for-4 with two runs and two RBIs.

St. Paul 7, Sioux Falls 4 (Game 1 - 7 innings)

North Division Wild Card winner St. Paul got an efficient outing from starting pitcher Mike Meyer, who allowed four runs on eight hits while striking out four through 6 1/3 innings to improve to 10-8 on the season. 1B Jeremy Frost led the Saints at the plate, going 2-for-3, including his ninth home run of the season, with a run scored and four runs batted in. The win improves St. Paul to 24-22 in the second half, while the Canaries fell to 17-29.

St. Paul 9, Sioux Falls 2 (Game 2 - 7 innings)

The Saints finished off a sweep of Sioux Falls thanks to a complete game by starting pitcher Charlie Ruud. Ruud allowed two runs on nine hits and struck out seven in seven innings to improve his record to 8-6 this season. DH Nick Gretz led the Saints at the plate, going 2-for-4 with four runs batted in and 1B Josh Renick also had a good night, turning in a 2-for-4 effort to go along with a run scored and an RBI. Sioux Falls LF Ralph Santana had a good night offensively for Sioux Falls. He was 3-for-4 with two runs batted in.

Fort Worth 0, St. Joe 0 (Top 2 - Suspended)

This game was suspended in the top of the second inning due to rain. The game will be completed tomorrow and go nine innings while the regularly scheduled game will follow and go seven innings.

The El Paso Diablos held off a late Coastal Bend rally to edge the Diablos in the first game of a doubleheader. El Paso got a solid outing from starting pitcher Dustin Cameron who allowed two earned runs on five hits through 5 1/3 innings to improve to 4-3 on the season. Reliever Ned Darley picked up his third save of the year after holding the Aviators to one run in 1 2/3 innings. El Paso 1B Mike Harkins drove in two runs to lead the Diablos at the plate. He finished the game 2-for-3.
