In front of a record St. Paul crowd of 8,592, 3B Pat Scalabrini went 2-for-5 with 2 runs scored and 5 RBI, include hitting his 3rd and 4th home runs of the season to aid the Saints to an easy victory over the Pelicans. St. Paul would jump out to an early 4-0 lead through three innings and never would be challenged. 2B Josh Renick and LF Brian Sprout each had two hits and drove in a run to assist in the Saints offense. Saints starter T.J. Stanton picked up his fourth win of the season going six efficient innings allowing three runs, all earned, on seven hits, with five strikeouts. RF Juan Rocha had a good day at the plate for the Pelicans in the losing effort going 2-for-5 with a run scored and 2 RBI, including a home run, his sixth of the season.

Fort Worth 11, Coastal Bend 0

Fort Worth starting pitcher Dan Grybash retired the first 10 hitters he faced and never looked back, going eight shutout innings to pick up his fourth win of the season. The right-hander allowed just two hits and struck out six before handing the ball over to Brandon Newman who pitched a perfect ninth to wrap up the lopsided victory. Fort Worth broke the game open in the eighth inning, scoring seven runs and dashing any thoughts of a Coastal Bend comeback. Cats RF Carlos Adolfo was 3-for-4, including his sixth home run of the year, and drove in four. With the win, Fort Worth moves into a tie with Pensacola and Coastal Bend, who has now lost six straight, for the South Division lead.

St. Joe 2, Sioux Falls 1

Blacksnakes' starting pitcher Evan Thomas shutout Sioux Falls through seven innings, allowing just four hits and striking out four to improve his record to 3-5 on the season. The St. Joe offense provided a run in the second and another in the sixth that proved just enough to outlast the Canaries, who could only muster a single run - in the eighth. St. Joe 2B Denver Kitch led the Blacksnakes at the plate, going a perfect 4-for-4 with a run scored. Sioux Falls got two-hit games from two different players and out-hit St. Joe 8-6 in the game, but couldn't string them together at the right times. The win for St. Joe improves their record to 24-20 on the year. They are currently third in the North Division.

Shreveport 9, El Paso 4

The Sports scored at least once in every inning from the third through the seventh and their starter T.J. Hendricks scattered 11 hits through six innings to pick up his third win of the year. Shreveport got multi-hit games from three different players and 3B Melvin Falu was 1-for-3 with two runs scored and two RBIs to help the Sports pull their record to .500, one game out of first in the South Division. El Paso 3B J.P. Schmidt was 3-for-5 with a run scored and an RBI in the losing effort. The Diablos found themselves trailing 4-0 in the third, but rallied to pull within one, but could only come up with one other run, in the fifth, though they out-hit their opponent 12-10. To seal the win for Shreveport, right-hander Aaron Kirkland tossed three strong innings, allowing just one hit, and picked up his first save of the year.
