The Pensacola Pelicans scored all three of their runs in the second inning, and made it hold up, en route to a 3-1 win. Pensacola starting pitcher Dane DeValk allowed one run on six hits while striking out five in six innings of work to notch the victory and improve to 2-1 on the year. Seven different Pelicans hitters recorded a hit, all singles, led by DH Chase Burch who was 1-for-3 with a run scored and a RBI. Shreveport-Bossier 1B Andres Rodriguez led all hitters in the contest. He was 2-for-3.

Grand Prairie 4, El Paso 1

Grand Prairie got a good outing from starting pitcher Kieran Mattison, who allowed one run on five hits while striking out seven in six innings, to beat El Paso 4-1 at home. The win for Mattison improved his mark to 3-2 on the season. AirHogs CF Drew Holder led the way at the plate, going 2-for-4 with a double, a run scored and a pair of RBI. Grand Prairie's leadoff man, RF Mike Conroy, also had a nice game offensively. He was 2-for-4 with a triple and two runs scored. El Paso 3B Juan Camacho was 2-for-3 with a double, his 15th of the season, to lead the Diablos in the losing effort.

Fort Worth 8, Lincoln 3

The Fort Worth Cats continue to pull away in the South Division, as they blew by Lincoln, 8-3 for their 25th win of the season. The Cats have now won 10 out of their last 11 games. Fort Worth starting pitcher Dan Grybash allowed one run on eight hits while striking out five in six innings of work to earn the win and improve to 5-1 on the season. Leading the way offensively for the Cats was 1B Pat O'Sullivan who was 2-for-4 with a double, a run scored and three RBI. Fort Worth DH Ryan Patterson finished the game 1-for-5 with a solo home run, his fifth of the year.
