St. Paul starting pitcher Tom Buske scattered seven hits over seven innings, allowing just one unearned run en route to his third win. The Saints were hitless and trailing 1-0 entering the fourth inning, but they rallied for two runs and would never trail from there. St. Paul C Scott Knazek was 2-for-3 with a run scored to lead the offensive effort. Saints closer Kerry Ligtenberg held the lead in the ninth inning to earn his 13th save.

Lincoln 5, Sioux City 4

@ Lincoln, NE. Time: 2:39 Attendance: 4,031 W: Brian Campbell (3-3) L: Nick Sottung (0-1) S: Chris Thompson (23) HR: SC-Brett Mieras (1) The Lincoln Saltdogs topped the Sioux City Explorers 5-4 and in doing so capped a four game sweep of the series. Trailing 3-1 entering the fourth inning, the Saltdogs rallied for three runs to go up 4-3 and never looked back. Lincoln CF Josh Burrus was 1-for-4 with two RBI while 2B Shea McFeely was 1-for-4 with a run scored and a RBI. Saltdogs starting pitcher Brian Campbell picked up the win, his third of the season and closer Chris Thompson tossed a scoreless ninth to earn his league-leading 23rd save.

El Paso 5, Grand Prairie 2

@ Grand Prairie, TX. Time: 2:50 Attendance: 4,157

W: Justin Mallett (3-4) L: Jose Cordero (4-4) S: None

HR: EP-Juan Camacho (7); GP-JB Tucker (4)

El Paso scored all five runs in the third inning and cruised to a 5-2 win behind a great performance from starting pitcher Justin Mallett. Mallett went the distance allowing two runs on three hits while fanning seven. Mallett held a two-hit shutout through eight innings, but began to run out of steam in the ninth. With the win, Mallett ran his mark to 3-4 on the season. El Paso 1B Juan Camacho led the way at the plate, going 2-for-4 with a home run and three RBI.
