The Sioux Falls Canaries got an outstanding performance from starting pitcher Ben Moore to get the best of Lincoln and come away with a 6-3 win. Moore went the distance, allowing three runs on five hits while striking out eight to earn his fourth win of the season. Leading the way offensively for the Canaries was 3B Trevor Lawhorn who was 2-for-4 with two doubles, a run scored and two RBI. Sioux Falls SS Tim Hutting also had a good game. He was 1-for-3 with a home run and three RBI.

Shreveport-Bossier 5, Wichita 4
@ Shreveport, LA. Time: 2:37 Attendance: 1,784 W: Jimmy Heard (3-0) L: Derek Blacksher (5-2) S: Justin Dowdy (7) HR: WW-Greg Porter (10), Michael Thompson (4)
The Wichita Wingnuts got home runs from LF Greg Porter and 3B Michael Thompson, but it wasn't enough as Shreveport-Bossier came away with a one-run victory. Captains starting pitcher Jimmy Heard had a good outing, allowing three runs, one earned, on four hits while striking out four in four innings to earn the win and improve to 3-0 on the year. Shreveport-Bossier DH Jose Torres led the way at the plate, going 2-for-3 with a run scored and two RBI.

El Paso 5, Pensacola 3

The El Paso Diablos scored twice in the top of the ninth inning to break a 3-3 tie and come away with the 5-3 win on the road. Leading five different Diablos hitters had two hits in the game, including C Eddy Rodriguez who was 2-for-4 with a run scored and a RBI. Pensacola SS Luis Guance was 2-for-3 with a double, a run scored and a RBI to lead the Pelicans in the losing effort. El Paso reliever Yury Santana tossed a scoreless eighth inning to pick up the win and improve to 2-0 on the year.

Sioux City recorded 15 hits as a team en route to an easy win on the road against St. Paul. Canaries LF James Boone led the way at the plate, going 3-for-5 with a pair of doubles, a home run, three runs scored and two RBI. Sioux City SS Nick McCoola also had a good game at the plate. He was 3-for-5 with a pair of runs scored and a RBI. Canaries starting pitcher Ty Marotz went the distance to earn his third win. Marotz allowed five runs on six hits while striking out six.
