Grand Prairie belted four home runs off Pelicans pitching and beat Pensacola 12-2. Leading 2-1 after three innings, the AirHogs scored seven runs in the middle frames to put the game out of reach. CF Drew Holder, 1B Billy Munoz, and C JB Tucker hit home runs in three consecutive at-bats during the eighth inning to push the Grand Prairie lead to double digits at 12-1. DH Derek Nicholson also homered in the contest and finished 2-for-4 with two RBI and two runs scored. Tucker finished the game 2-for-3 with three runs scored and three RBI. 2B Brandon Carter also drove in three runs in a 3-for-5 effort.

Fort Worth 5, Shreveport 4 (10 Innings)

Trailing 4-3 in the bottom of the ninth, Fort Worth plated a run to send the game into extra innings where 1B Nilson Teilon hit a walk off home run to give the Cats a 5-4 win. The long ball was Teilon's 13th of the season and was his third hit of the game. C Osiel Flores also homered for Fort Worth. His roundtripper came in the second inning and tied the game 2-2. Tim Haines started and pitched well for the Cats as he allowed three earned runs on four hits while striking out six. Kyle Yates picked up the win in relief by working two scoreless innings. Sports reliever Matt Pilgreen allowed Teilon's homer that ended the game and dropped to 2-5.

Sioux Falls 8, St. Paul 4

Sioux Falls scored early and often as they put up runs in each of the first five innings to down St. Paul 8-4. 3B Grant Richardson and C Paul Smyth each homered in the contest for the Canaries. Smyth finished 3-for-3 with two runs scored while CF Beau Torbert turned in a 4-for-5 night at the plate. Sioux Falls starting pitcher Travis Kane tossed 5 2/3 innings to get the win and improve to 8-5 on the year. Justin Lord lasted just three innings for St. Paul as he allowed four earned runs and dropped to 5-9 on the campaign. Saints 3B Ben Thomas went 3-for-5 in the loss.

CF Matt Maloney homered and Jason Jarvis threw his second straight complete game to lead Lincoln past El Paso 3-2. Jarvis allowed two earned runs on eight hits while striking out seven and walking none. El Paso's Josh Neitz was equally impressive as he surrendered just five hits and one earned run over eight innings. The go ahead run was scored by Saltdogs 1B Eduardo Rios who doubled to lead off the seventh inning, moved to third on a sacrifice bunt, and came home on a passed ball. The Diablos put two on with two out in the ninth but Jarvis struck out the final man to end the game.
