Fargo-Moorhead 9, Sioux Falls 3

Fargo-Moorhead continues to stay red hot as they win their 14th in a row in a 9-3 victory over the Sioux Falls Pheasants. The RedHawks are now one win away from tying the league record set by the Pensacola Pelicans in 2010 for the most consecutive wins. Fargo-Moorhead got off to a quick start in this game as they scored eight of their nine runs over the first three innings. The RedHawks 1-2-3 hitters of SS Zach Penprase, RF Buddy Sosnoskie and CF Nic Jackson went a combined 7-for-15 at the plate with a home run, two doubles, six runs scored and five RBI. Fargo-Moorhead starting pitcher Aaron Shafer collected the win as he gave up three earned runs on three hits with six strikeouts.

Lincoln 2, Winnipeg 1

LF Stephen Holdren's RBI single in the sixth inning scored 2B David Espinosa from second base and lifted the Lincoln Saltdogs to a 2-1 win over the Winnipeg Goldeyes. Winnipeg took a 1-0 lead in the fourth inning on a RBI single by SS Jose O. Duran. Lincoln would tie the game up at 1-1 in the bottom of the fifth on a solo home run by RF Asif Shah, his third of the season. The Saltdogs would then take the lead for good in the sixth on Holdren's single. Lincoln starting pitcher Justin R. Edwards tossed a solid game as he went 6 2/3 innings giving only one earned run on six hits with three strikeouts. This was Edwards' third win of the season. In defeat for Winnipeg, C Luis Alen went a perfect 2-for-2 and scored their only run of the game.

St. Paul 9, Grand Prairie 3

The St. Paul Saints scored six big runs in the bottom of the fifth inning to overcome a 3-1 deficit and beat the Grand Prairie AirHogs, 9-3. St. Paul's 1-2 hitters of DH Joe Spiers and CF Jose Hernandez went a combined 5-for-9 at the plate with two runs scored and a RBI. Saints 3B Ronnie Bourquin and SS Tanner Townsend each chipped in with their seventh home run of the season. St. Paul starting pitcher Robert Coe picked up his seventh win of the season allowing three earned runs on 11 hits in 7 2/3 innings pitched. For Grand Prairie in the loss, LF David Thomas went 2-for-5 and scored two runs.

Sioux City 6, Kansas City 4

Sioux City scored a pair of runs in the ninth inning to break a 4-4 tie and defeat the Kansas City T-Bones by the score of 6-4. Explorers RF Peter Barrows had a big game at the plate going 4-for-5 with a home run, two doubles, two runs scored and two RBI. DH Ray Serrano and C Tyler Goodro each had two hits with Serrano driving in a run and Goodro plating a run for Sioux City. Explorers closer Chris Bodishbaugh notched the win after tossing two scoreless innings giving up a walk and a hit. Bodishbaugh is now 5-1 on the season.

Gary SouthShore 3, Quebec 2

Gary SouthShore plated two runs in the top of the seventh inning to rally from a 2-1 deficit and beat the Quebec Capitales, 3-2. RailCats 3B Brian Kolb went 2-for-4 with a run scored while 1B Mike Rohde went 1-for-3 with two runs and a RBI. Rohde doubled home Kolb with the first run of the seventh inning to tie the score at 2-2. Rohde would later score in the inning on a RBI single by DH Matt Forgatch and give Gary SouthShore the 3-2 lead. RailCats starting pitcher Morgan Coombs was the winning pitcher allowing two earned runs on five hits in 6 1/3 innings pitched.

Laredo 7, Wichita 3

After falling behind 2-0 after two innings, the Laredo Lemurs scored six runs over the next three innings and would cruise to a 7-3 win over the Wichita Wingnuts. Laredo 3B John Allen and 2B Anthony Scelfo each had two hits on the night along with scoring a win and drive in one. Lemurs C Brian Peterson chipped with two runs as well. Laredo starter Ryan Sasaki was solid en route to his second win of the season. Sasaki went 5 2/3 innings giving up two earned runs on nine hits with a strikeout.

El Paso 9, Amarillo 9 (Bottom 11 - In Progress)

The game between El Paso and Amarillo was still in progress with the game tied at 9-9 in the bottom of the 11th inning.
