Grand Prairie 9, Rockland 3

The AirHogs of the American Associastion scored at least one run in each of the first six innings en route to a 9-3 win over Rockland. Grand Prairie 1B Andres Rodriguez went 2-for-5 and hit a first-inning home run. The homer - Rodriguez' second of the year - was one of two AirHogs blasts in the game. Rockland SS Matt Nandin was the only Boulders batter with multiple hits, going 2-for-4 with two RBI. AirHogs starting pitcher John Brownell threw all nine innings and allowed three runs on only five hits and three walks with seven strikeouts.

Wichita 7, Amarillo 1

Wichita scored four runs in the first inning - three on a CJ Ziegler home run - and never trailed en route to a 7-1 victory over the Amarillo Sox. Ziegler went 2-for-3 with two runs and a game-high five RBI. The Sox got a solo shot from C Alberto Espinosa, who accounted for two of Amarillo's three hits. Wingnuts relief pitcher Nick Schreiber entered in the third inning and threw five, allowing just one run on two hits and two walks with five strikeouts to pick up the victory. The win came in Schreiber's first appearance for the Wingnuts.

Lincoln 5, St. Paul 2

With the score knotted at one run apiece in the bottom of the fifth inning, Lincoln scored two runs in consecutive frames to take a 5-1 lead. The Saints scored a run in the ninth, but fell short of the four-run rally they needed to catch the Saltdogs, dropping the game, 5-2. The Saltdogs saw 2B Jared McDonald fall a home run short of the cycle, as he went 4-for-4 with a double, a triple, two runs and two RBI. At the plate for St. Paul, SS Tanner Townsend hit his fifth home run of the year but couldn't carry his club back from a four-run deficit. Starting Lincoln pitcher Wade Mackey fanned five batters in six innings while allowing just one run on five hits to lower his season ERA to 3.27.

Sioux Falls 9, Winnipeg 4

Each time the Goldeyes put runs on the board in the top of an inning, the Pheasants answered with more in the bottom of the frame, and Sioux Falls defeated Winnipeg, 9-4. Pheasants leadoff DH Jonny Kaplan got the game started on the right foot for his club, hitting a solo home run on the fourth pitch of the game. Kaplan went 2-for-5 with a run and an RBI. The Goldeyes got a four-bagger from a bit further down in their lineup when eighth-hitting DH Dan Barbero hit a two-run shot in the seventh. The blast was Barbero's first of the season. On the mound for Sioux Falls, starting pitcher Alan DeRatt earned his second win of the season, throwing 6.2 innings and allowing four runs on eight hits with a walk and two strikeouts.

Kansas City 10, El Paso 0

Josh Rainwater threw a complete-game shutout for the T-Bones Tuesday against the Diablos, earning a 10-victory. The T-Bones scored most of their runs in the middle innings to get the big win - Freshwater's second of the season. Three of Kansas City's runs came on long balls, one round-tripper each from 1B Hunter Mense and SS Devin Goodwin. Mense's blast, a solo shot in the fourth, was his first four-bagger of the season, while Goodwin's accounted for his fifth. T-Bones DH Brandon Jones led all players in hits, going 3-for-5 with two RBI and his 11th double of the year.

Sioiux City 6, Fargo-Moorhead 0

Explorers starting pitcher Jason Jarvis threw a complete game and allowed no runs on seven hits and two walks while striking out three Fargo-Moorhead batters. With Jarvis dominating on the mound, the Explorers batters built a lead in the middle innings eventually earning a 6-0 win - the third of the year for Jarvis. Offensively for Sioux City, leadoff CF Brandon Newton scored twice to highlight his 3-for-5 night. Newton is now batting .338. Three Explorers batters joined Newton in having multi-hit nights, with RF Michael Lang going 2-for-4 with a run and two RBI.

Gary SouthShore 5, Laredo 4

The RailCats faced a 4-1 deficit entering the seventh inning against Laredo on Tuesday. But when Adam Klein doubled in two runs in the top of the frame, the momentum swung into Gary SouthShore's favor. The RailCats went on to win, 5-4. Klein went 4-for-5 from the leadoff spot with a run and two RBI. Lemurs 1B Javier Brito got the scoring started in the second inning with a solo home run. Led all players in hits, going 4-for-5 with a run and two RBI. But his big night at the plate couldn't push his club past Gary SouthShore.
