American Association Game Recap
May 31, 2012 - American Association (AA) News Release
Winnipeg 3, Amarillo 2
Back-to-back wild pitches in the bottom of the tenth inning plated the winning run for Winnipeg in an otherwise flawless defensive game. After Winnipeg SS David Narodowski doubled, Amarillo LHP Andrew Bowman sent two pitches past C Alberto Espinosa. The Goldeyes walked off with the win as Narodowski crossed home.
The run was not the only one that Winnipeg stole on the base paths. In the third inning, the Goldeyes had runners on first and third with one out. DH Price Kendall took off for second, and when the throw came through to get Kendall, 3B Amos Ramon broke for home to score the game's first run. A solo home run by Sox 3B Van Pope tied the game at 2-2 in the eighth before Narodowski won it for Winnipeg in the tenth. RHP Chris Kaminski was credited with the win in relief for the Goldeyes.
