Eight El Paso hitters collected at least one RBI as the Diablos accumulated nineteen hits en route to a 13-9 win against the Fort Worth Cats. Diablos 2B Antoin Gray had three hits in five at-bats, including a two-run homerun in the bottom of the third inning. El Paso RF Stephen Douglas went 2-for-5 with a double and two RBIs, and 3B Martin Parra went 2-for-4 with two RBIs and two runs scored. Fort Worth's bats were hot too on the night, especially for 1B Trent Lockwood, who belted a grand slam and two doubles, finishing the night with six RBIs. Cats SS Cory Morales and 2B Derek Kinzler each had three hits in a losing effort. El Paso starting pitcher Wardell Starling earned the win, pitching seven innings, striking out seven hitters, and conceding four earned runs.
