
Ambush to Play Outdoor Friendly with St. Louis Lions

St. Charles, MO - Their Major Indoor Soccer League season is nearly complete, but the St. Louis Ambush aren't finished playing yet. The Ambush, presented by Simmons First National Bank, announced today they will venture outdoors to face the St. Louis Lions of the Premier Development League in a friendly match on Saturday, May 3 at the Tony Glavin Soccer Complex, located at #2 Woodlands Parkway in Cottleville.
Ambush team owner Andrew Haines said, "We've enjoyed a tremendous partnership with Tony Glavin's organization and are excited to take that to a new level by participating in a friendly to help the Lions kick off their 2014 season." The Ambush have four games remaining on their 2013-14 MISL schedule; two at home and two on the road. The Milwaukee Wave pay their final visit to the Family Arena this Friday, February 21at 7:35 p.m. Following Friday's duel against the Wave, the Ambush journey across the state to tangle with the Missouri Comets at the Independence Events Center at 7:35 p.m. Saturday, February 22.
The Ambush are offering a "Hat Trick Special" ticket package for the February 21 and February 27 home games. Fans can purchase two tickets in an end section and two Ambush mesh hats, a $60 value, for only $33.00. To take advantage of this special deal, you must call the Ambush office at 636-922-2255.
The Ambush play their final home game of the season on Thursday, February 27 at 7:35 p.m. at the Family Arena. That night has been designated Retro Night and will feature a Reunion Game of former Ambush, Storm and Steamers legends at halftime Current Ambush players will wear throwback jerseys from the 1992-94 St. Louis Ambush era when they clash with the Comets. Before the Ambush-Comets game, your St. Louis indoor soccer legends will be signing autographs from 6:30 to 7:15 on the concourse. Organist Jeremy Boyer will perform live throughout the evening. Live organ music was a staple of the Steamers games in the 1980""s. Boyer is a student of the legendary Ernie Hayes and is currently the organist for the St. Louis Blues and has played at Busch Stadium for the Cardinals. Following the February 27 home finale, the Ambush close out their inaugural season on the road when they visit U.S. Cellular Arena in Milwaukee to square off with the Wave Saturday, March 1 at 6:00 p.m.
