MISL Rochester Lancers

Lancers and Dick Ide to Draw Free Car Finalists Tomorrow

February 20, 2014 - Major Indoor Soccer League (MISL)
Rochester Lancers News Release

(Rochester, NY) - The Rochester Lancers will have one lucky fan leaving with a free car after Sunday's 3pm home game. As a result of a season long, charity focused contest, Dick Ide Family of Dealerships will be giving away a car at halftime of Sunday's final Lancers home game. The three finalists will be announced live on Facebook, Friday at 12:15pm.

The finalists will be chosen from fans that entered a season-long contest benefiting Camp Good Days. Each home game this season, fans could purchase a small ball for one dollar each. The balls were then thrown with the attempt to toss them through the open sunroof of a moving car at each game's halftime. Those that made their balls into the car, were automatically entered into the contest. All proceeds from ball sales go directly to Camp Good Days.

"I've been looking forward to this all season," said Rich Ide, Vice President of Dick Ide Family of Dealerships. "I think it's great that we can use this to raise money for a good cause. And then, end the season with a lucky fan winning a car!"

Sunday's drawing will feature three fans on the field at halftime and ultimately, one will win the car. They will have the choice of a new Volkswagen Jetta, Honda Civic, or Mazda 3. The winner will receive a three-year lease of the vehicle they choose.

The Rochester Lancers host second place Baltimore Blast (13-3) Sunday, February 23 at 3pm at the Blue Cross Arena for the final home game of the season.  The first 1,000 fans will receive a free team photo.  Lancers title sponsor, Dick Ide Family of Dealerships, will be giving away a car at halftime to one lucky fan. Fans can get free Mohawks, courtesy of SportClips. Kids 12 and under are FREE!  Discounted tickets are available at all Wegmans.
