Ambassadors Add Northeast League Record Holder, Two Others

The Allentown Ambassadors added Northeast League record holding pitcher Chad Ward yesterday, as well as pitcher Perry Cunningham and infielder Garrett Larson.

Ward, 31, holds the Northeast League record in wins (55), losses (53), innings pitched (874.1), and strikeouts (712). These totals include Ward¹s time this season with the Brockton Rox. With the Rox, Ward had a 3-4 record with a 3.78 ERA. Garrett Larkin played for Adirondack last season, hitting .256 with 11 doubles, two home runs, and twenty eight RBI. Larkin began his career in the Pittsburgh Pirates organization. He was a 19th round draft pick in 1996. Cunningham is beginning his first season of professional baseball out of Davis and Elton¹s College in West Virginia.

To make room, the Ambassadors released pitchers Mike Riley, Phil Brassington, Kevin Perrucci, and Jose Guerrero.
