AMARILLO, TX - Ice being made, jerseys unveiled..

That means hockey season is nearly here.

It was a busy Wednesday for the Amarillo Bulls with several events that took place.

Ice is being created at the Amarillo Civic Center and should be ready to go for Monday morning when training camp begins. Several new logos were put onto the ice and were being sprayed by workers before everything is covered with about three-quarters of an inch of water.

Renovations continue in the locker room area for the Amarillo Bulls. The player lockers have arrived and a new rug will soon be put down around the area including the coaching office.

The Bulls held a press conference today at their offices located at 301 South Polk. Head Coach Jon Rogger spoke to the media about training camp and the number of players that will be arriving in the Texas Panhandle. It was also the first opportunity for Assistant Coach Mike Watt to meet the media.

Rogger and Watt also unveiled the Bulls new 5th anniversary white home jerseys that will be worn this season. The new jerseys feature the special 'V' logo on the front along with the state of Texas on the arm.

Thirty-two players are expected to arrive in Amarillo throughout the remainder of the week, and will participate in physicals on Sunday before hitting the ice on Monday at 10 am. A second practice will take place from 4 pm to 5 pm. All practices are open to the public and fans are encouraged to drop by and see the players.

Season Ticket holders who have renewed their seats for the upcoming season are getting a special treat tomorrow (Thursday) night by being invited to a Meet The Coaching Staff Party at the Bulls Office located at 301 South Polk.
