
Magicians Acquire Curtis Simonson Via Trade

The Magicians have announced the acquisition of Defenseman Curtis Simonson through a trade with the Coulee Region Chill of the North American Hockey League (NAHL). Simonson hails from Grand Rapids, Minnesota where he played his high school hockey. Last season, he played in 28 games with the Chill.
Magicians Head Coach, Tom Upton said of the trade, "Curtis is a big, hard -nosed, experienced defenseman. Along with his on ice attributes, those who know him speak extremely high of his character and compete factor. He will fit in perfectly with our team and culture on and off the ice."
The Magicians 2nd season in the North American Hockey League (NAHL) begins at the NAHL Showcase at the Schwan Super Rink in Blaine, Minnesota from September 17-20th. The team hosts the Kenai River Brown Bears for their first home stand of the season at Richfield Ice Arena on September 26th and 27th.
