Wildcats to Offer Free Admission in Season-Opener against Odessa

WICHITA FALLS, Texas - The Wichita Falls Wildcats are looking to "Pack the House" for the start of 2014-15 season when they take on the Odessa Jackalopes at the Kay Yeager Coliseum on Saturday, Sept. 13 at 7:05 p.m.

The Wildcats will offer free admission for all fans when they kick off their 11th season against the Jacks, in what will be Head Coach John LaFontaine's first regular-season game behind the bench for Wichita Falls.

Fans will be able to reserve tickets in advance by visiting the Wildcats office to obtain a voucher, which can be redeemed at the KYC door the night of the game. Fans can also reserve their tickets by visiting the KYC box office beginning Monday, Sept. 8. For group reservations of 15 or more, fans may contact the Wildcats office at (940) 716-5587.

The season-opener is the first of eight meetings between the Jackalopes and Wildcats in 2014-15, and also marks the second-straight year the two teams have met to open the campaign. Last season, Wichita Falls opened the year with a 4-0 triumph over Odessa on the way to posting a weekend sweep to open the season.

The Wildcats posted an 8-2-0 mark in 10 head-to-head tilts with Odessa in the 2013-14 season, and has historically enjoyed success against their foes from West Texas. Since 2008-09, the Wildcats own a 20-9-0 record against the Jackalopes.
