
Amarillo Bulls Alumni Continue to Do Well

AMARILLO, TX -- It was a special Saturday night for former Amarillo Bulls Captain Mike Davis as well as former Assistant Brendan Vetter.
Davis tallied the game winner in overtime to lift Neumann past Manhattanville 4-3. Brendan Vetter scored in the third period and also had an assist as Lawrence beat Northland 5-4. Blake Roubos also had an assist in that game. Omar Mullen notched his fourth goal of the season and Gage Christianson also had an assist as Milwaukee School of Engineering beat Marian 3-1. Ryan Cole had a goal and an assist as Trinity blasted Connecticut College 7-2.
John and Hampus Gustafsson each scored to lift Merrimack College to a big 4-1 triumph on home ice against Notre Dame on Saturday night. John Gustafsson's goal was the game winner in the second period. Matt Johnson set up the second Lake Superior State goal but the Lakers still lost 6-2 to the University of Alabama-Huntsville.
Texans Brendan McGuire and Clint Carlisle each scored as Army beat Holy Cross 5-4. Carlisle assisted on the overtime winner in the final 10 seconds. Cody Freeman had an assist as Canisius and RIT played to a 3-3 tie. Brady Ferguson collected two assists as Robert Morris remained unbeaten, playing to a 3-3 overtime time with Air Force. In Division III play, Ryan Taylor earned an assist as Western New England fell to Curry 7-2. Dan McNamara picked up his first goal of the season as St. John's defeated St. Olaf 4-1. Mike Erickson had an assist for St. Olaf. Blake Roubos scored for Lawrence as they doubled Northland 4-2. Omar Mullen had one goal and one assist as Milwaukee School of Engineering got by Marian 3-1. Kyle Gattelaro had an assist as Wisconsin River Falls beat Bethel 5-2.
The Amarillo Bulls and the Lone Star Brahmas resume their 'Battle Of The Cattle Series' this Friday and Saturday at NYTEX Center in North Richland Hills, TX. Both games face-off at 7:30 pm. and fans can tune into both games live on CBS Sports Radio 1440, online at www.amarillobulls.com and on PPV courtesy of Fast Hockey, beginning with the Wayland Baptist University Warm Up Show at 7:15 pm. The puck drop follows at 7:30 pm.
Hockey returns to the Budweiser Bull Pen in the Amarillo Civic Center on Friday, Dec. 19 and Saturday, Dec. 20 when the Amarillo Bulls host the Lone Star Brahmas at 7 pm. Saturday is Toys For Tots Teddy Bear Toss Night. Fans are encouraged to bring a new or gently used teddy bear or stuffed animal to the game and when the Bulls score their first goal, throw the toys onto the ice.
