Montreal, August 11, 2003 - Montreal Alouettes General Manager Jim Popp announced today that defensive back Brandon Williams has joined the team.
Williams (5'10'', 180 lbs.) attended the Edmonton Eskimos training camp earlier this season. Williams is a product of the University of Georgia where he played the 2001 and 2002 seasons with the Bulldogs. Williams played eight games in 2002 and played every game in 2001. He also made a pair of interceptions in 2001.
Abram expected
Cornerback DaShawn Abram is expected to practice with the Alouettes tomorrow. After playing at the University of Wyoming, Abram attended the Dallas Cowboys training camp in 2001 and then tried out in NFL Europe with the Frankfurt Galaxy in 2002. He attended training camp with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats earlier this year.
