Alouettes show an improved hockey team

Montreal, Jan. 21, 2007 - Coming soon to a rink near you, the Montreal Alouettes will begin their 11th annual promotional hockey tour across the province of Quebec with the first stop in Ferme-Neuve in just under two weeks. In collaboration with RDS and Énergie radio, the Alouettes will offer a better-than-ever team this season with several new players joining the tour.

Fans will have the chance to discover the hockey talents of Dave Mudge (6'7'', 310 lbs.), Ian Allen (6'5'', 315 lbs.), Alain Kashama (6'4'', 285 lbs.) and Étienne Boulay. They will also find vets Luke Fritz, Ed Philion, Matthieu Proulx, Paul Lambert, Sylvain Girard and even Duane Butler who skated for the first time in April 2006, instantly becoming a crowd-favourite. Alumni Peter Dalla Riva, Bruno Heppell, André Bolduc, Philippe Girard, Tony Proudfoot and President Larry Smith will also play in the tour.

On April 15 in Pointe-Claire, the Alouettes will battle the Canadiens Alumni in an attempt to avenge their 2006 loss.
