
Alouettes Select Marc-Antoine Dequoy with their First Pick

Montreal - With their first pick, the Montreal Alouettes selected defensive back Marc-Antoine Dequoy from the Université de Montréal Carabins Thursday night, in the second round (14th overall) of the CFL Draft.
Dequoy (6'3", 190 lbs.) played four seasons for the Carbains helping the team reach the Vanier Cup last fall. In 2019, the 25-year-old made 34 solo tackles and seven assisted tackles, on top making three interceptions, including one for touchdown, which earned him an All-Canadian selection and an RSÃâ°Q All-Star selection for the second consecutive year. He registered an impressive time of 4.35 seconds on the 40-yard dash during hi pro-day this fall.
"We are extremely happy to have selected Marc-Antoine with our first selection. Obviously he is a player I knew well with the Carabins and there is no doubt in my mind that he will success at the professional level" said Alouettes General Manager Danny Maciocia.
The Alouettes also hold picks 16, 22, 25, 33, 49, 51, 60, 66 and 69 in tonight's draft.
