Alouettes prepare for East Division Championship

Montreal, November 1st, 2004 - With a record-season of 14 wins, the Montreal Alouettes finished first in the East Division. The team now benefits of an off week before hosting the winner of the East Division semi-final in the WestJet East Division Championship on Sunday, November 14, at 7 p.m. at Olympic Stadium.

This Friday, November 5 at 7:30 p.m. (CBC/RDS), the Hamilton Tiger-Cats (9-8-1, 3rd in East Division) will visit the Toronto Argonauts (10-7-1, 2nd in East Division) at SkyDome in the East Division semi-final.

The Alouettes have won the last two East Division Championships, defeating the Toronto Argonauts both times by scores of 35-18 and 30-26 in front of crowds of 57,125 spectators in 2002 and 60,007 spectators in 2003.

For a rare occasion, several good tickets are still available for the game. The Alouettes offer fans three options to purchase their tickets for the East Division Championship:

In the West Division, the Edmonton Eskimos (9-9-0, 2nd in West Division) will host the Saskatchewan Roughriders (9-9-0, 3rd in West Division) on Sunday, November 7th at 4 p.m. in the West Division semi-final (CBC/RDS). The winner will play the B.C. Lions (13-5-0, 1st in West Division) on November 14 at 4 p.m. (CBC/RDS) at B.C. Place.
