"First I would like to thank Keith Stokes and Omar Evans for their contribution and loyalty to this team, we wish them luck with their new organisations," said Jim Popp.

"The trade with Calgary will allow both clubs to benefit from the transaction. The exchange with Winnipeg is more of a long-term investment. With the acquisitions of draft picks and negotiation rights, we are ensuring the continuity of a solid and winning franchise for many years to come, it is an investment in the future," explained Popp.
