Alouettes Host the Roughriders on Friday Night

Montreal - The Montreal Alouettes will return home to face the Saskatchewan Roughriders on Friday August 11 at 7:30 p.m. ET at Percival Molson Stadium.

The Alouettes return home after a trip to Hamilton where they orchestrated a comeback in the second half by producing 18 points in the fourth quarter in a 27-14 win. The Roughriders are coming off a, 26-24, home win over the Ottawa REDBLACKS on Sunday.

It will be the first and onlymatchup between these two teams in 2023. The Roughriders are 4-4-0 in eight games while the Alouettes are 4-3-0 in seven games. Saskatchewan has already faced two East Division teams in 2023 (1-1-0). For their part, Jason Maas' group are 1-2-0 this year against Western teams.

It could also be Fajardo's first game against his former team. He played for the Riders from 2019 to 2022. Fajardo (shoulder) is considered a game-time decision. On the other side, Jake Wieneke will return to Montreal, the receiver played for the Als from 2019 to 2022.

Notes:

-Running back Walter Fletcher will play his second game of the season. He'll replace William Stanback (hip injury).

-Quarterback Cody Fajardo passed for 318 yards and two touchdowns against Hamilton.

-Receiver Austin Mack accumulated 106 receiving yards last week in Hamilton.

-Defensive lineman Shawn Lemon registered three tackles, two sacks, a forced fumble and an interception in Hamilton in Week 9.

-Rookie receiver Tyler Snead gained 90 yards on four receptions against the Tiger-Cats.

-Defensive back J.R. Reed collected his first career interception during last Saturday's win.

Fans will be able to enjoy the Country Music theme during our "Friday Night Live" game. Raffy group will perform during the pre-game and at halftime on the Biergarden stage.
