
Alouettes Beat Tiger-Cats and Are Going to the Eastern Final in Toronto

Montreal - The Montreal Alouettes took down the Hamilton Tiger-Cats, 27-12, Saturday afternoon at Percival Molson Memorial Stadium. Montreal will face Toronto in the Eastern Final on Saturday, November 11 at BMO Field.
Alouettes kicker David Côté was perfect on his four field goal attempts (40-15-40-29). The defense had another dominant showing, as they registered interceptions by Marc-Antoine Dequoy and Darnell Sankey. They also gave the Ticats offensive line headaches, as Shawn Lemon and Darnell Sanley got two sacks each.
Right before halftime, quarterback Cody Fajardo spotted receiver Austin Mack for a 30-yard major.
In the fourth quarter, Jake Harty caught Fajardo's pass and made his way into the end zone with the 14-yard gain.
Games notes
- Darnell Sankey stood out in the Eastern Semi-Final with eight defensive tackles, one knockdown, two sacks and one interception.
- Rookie Reggie Stubblefield made seven defensive tackles and one knockdown.
- Shawn Lemon recorded five defensive tackles and two sacks.
- Cody Fajardo completed 15 of his 23 attemps for 212 yards and two touchdowns.
- The Montreal defence didn't allow any touchdowns to the Tiger-Cats.
