Alouettes at IG Field on Thursday Night

Montreal - The Montreal Alouettes will take on the Winnipeg Blue Bombers at IG Field on Thursday, August 24 at 8:30 pm ET (RDS, TSN, 98.5fm, TSN690).

It will be the second game of the season between these two teams. On July 1, Winnipeg topped the Alouettes 17-3. Nearly a year ago, the Alouettes beat the Blue Bombers 20-17 in overtime in front of more than 31,000 fans in Winnipeg.

The Blue Bombers (8-2-0) have won their last four games. Quarterback Zach Collaros is expected to return after missing the last game against the Stampeders. Winnipeg has a 4-1-0 record at IG Field this season.The Alouettes (6-3-0) will try to continue their success on the road as they have a 3-1-0 away from home. Montreal will try to win a fifth game in a row.

The Alouettes just beat the Ottawa REDBLACKS on the road with a late-game comeback. Quarterback Caleb Evans scored the winning touchdown by running into the end zone with 14 seconds left in the game to give the Als a 25-24 advantage. The Blue Bombers defeated the Calgary Stampeders 19-18, without their quarterback Zach Collaros.

Alouettes quarterback Cody Fajardo will be back in the starting lineup after serving as the third-string quarterback during the last two games. Running back Walter Fletcher is back on the roster after sitting out the last game. The last time he dressed, against the Roughriders, he ran for 73 yards and caught a 68-yard pass. Kevin Kaya, former Université de Montréal Carabin will be playing in his first game this season, and a seventh in his career.
