
Alouettes add receiver James Rodgers to practice roster

Montreal, August 6, 2014 - The Montreal Alouettes announced on Wednesday that the club has added international receiver and return specialist James Rodgers to the practice roster.
Rodgers (5'7'', 185 lbs.) established team records with the Oregon State University Beavers with 6,377 career all-purpose yards and 222 receptions. He was also the first player in Beavers' history to rack up over 1,000 rushing yards and 2,000 receiving yards throughout his college career. The Richmond, TX native also made at least one catch during the last 41 games he played in.
He was also part of the Beavers track and field team, where he ran the 100-yard dash in 10.25 seconds.
The 25-year old was part of the Atlanta Falcons practice roster in 2012 and 2013.
He becomes the second player on the Alouettes' roster whose brother plays in the NFL. Jacquizz Rodgers is a running back for the Atlanta Falcons. Myles White, brother of Alouettes cornerback Mitchell White, plays for the Green Bay Packers.
