Indiana AlleyCats News Release

Anderson, IN. Brandon Brantley's strong start with five rebounds and several great second chance put backs was not enough to keep up with the Toledo Ice as they closed the first quarter with 40-26 lead. However, as most who follow the Indiana Alley Cats know, they start slow but finish strong and this game was no exception as they went on to win their tenth game in a row and remain undefeated with a 140-131 victory.

Indiana gained momentum in the 2nd quarter with good ball rotation that allowed the Alley Cats to cut the Ice lead to single digits. Michael Elliott's superb court vision led to a huge assist to Lester Jones which further sparked the Alley Cat comeback as they outscored the Ice 45-23 to end the first half. The third and fourth quarters belonged to Indiana as well.

The Alley Cats maintained their lead and continued to put pressure on the Ice well into the fourth quarter to sustain the win and improve its record to 10-0. Chandler Thompson led the Alley Cats with 22 points, 18 from behind the arc. Brandon Brantley, Carl Edwards and Shaun Fountain all had 19 points each. The Alley Cats remain on the road in Ohio for another game on Thursday (tonight) as they face the Ohio Aviators.
