Magicians game against Nashville postponed
December 8, 2005 - American Basketball Association (ABA)
Birmingham Magicians News Release
The scheduled game this Sunday, Dec. 11, 2005, Birmingham vs Nashville, has been cancelled, due to the ABA suspending the Nashville franchise according to Joe Newman, CEO of the ABA. According to Newman, Nashville was not meeting league standards and thus suspended from the league for the remainder of the season.
The ABA will reschedule Birmingham's remainding games against Nashville and other suspended teams including Chattanooga, and Georgia. The revised scheduled will be released by early next week according to the ABA. The Birmingham Magicians will continue to work with the ABA to complete the 2005-06 season.
Note: OurSports Central no longer actively covers the American Basketball Association (ABA) as a professional league due in part to its inability to publish and play a schedule and the transitory nature of many of its teams.
