Allard named to Team Quebec for World Under 17 Hockey Challenge

St. John's Fog Devils Forward, Jean-Simon Allard, has been named the Team Quebec for the World Under 17 Hockey Challenge. The Hockey Canada event will take place in Regina, SK from December 29th -January 4th and features 10 teams, of which 5 are regional Canadian teams (Atlantic, Quebec, Pacific, Ontario, Western and Pacific) and 5 are international teams (Czech Reupublic, Finland, Germany, Slovakia and USA).

Allard was the Fog Devils' first ever Draft choice, being taken 4th overall in the 2005 QMJHL Midget Draft. He has 5PTS (G,4A) in 29 games this season and scored his 1st QMJHL goal, December 2nd against the Halifax Mooseheads.

The Fog Devils next home series is Friday, December 16th and Saturday, December 17th when the club hosts the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles. The St. John's Fog Devils are the newest member of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League and are one of 58 member clubs of the Canadian Hockey League.
